Availability and Fees

My standard fee is £70 for a 50-minute session of therapy. I do however offer concessionary rates based on circumstance. I ask that session fees be paid in advance, either in weekly or monthly blocks depending on what works best, and this will be reflected in the invoicing.

I offer individual counselling to adults (18+) both online and in-person, on both a short-term and long-term basis. If you are interested in short-term therapy, I generally offer anywhere between 12 and 16 sessions, and if you are interested in working together on a long-term basis, I generally offer sessions for one year. I may sometimes suggest that we start with a certain number of sessions to provide some structure and containment at the beginning of our work, and then decide together whether we will extend our therapeutic work and for how long.

My in-person sessions take place in a comfortable therapy room just a few minutes walk from Dalston Kingsland and Dalston Junction overground stations in East London, England. I have current availability for in-person counselling on Tuesday afternoons, and for online counselling on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on the day.

I offer a free 20-minute telephone conversation before we begin working together to briefly discuss what you're looking for and to decide if we will move forward. I will then send you our therapeutic contract and a client personal information sheet for you to read through and complete/sign ahead of our first session.

Terms and Conditions

Once we have agreed to work together, we will set a date and time for our first session and I will send you a therapeutic contract and a client personal information sheet to read through, complete, and sign. The therapeutic contract will cover key information including session time and place, confidentiality, fees, and holidays and cancellations. The client personal information sheet will ask you to provide your full name, address, contact details, and whether you give consent for a GP or next of kin to be contacted for emergency purposes. Once you have returned these documents to me, I will invoice you for our initial assessment session to be paid in advance before the session takes place. I invoice the initial assessment session separately to subsequent sessions, after which invoicing will be carried out based on our agreement (weekly or monthly).

Our first session will be an assessment session, where we will go through the therapeutic contract together and I will ask you questions around why you’ve come to counselling, what your hopes or goals for therapy are, and a bit about your background and context. Our therapeutic work beyond this will be more exploratory and open based on what you need.
